Appliances (Extreme Heat Emergency Victims, Older Adults, Low Income)

Provider: CITY OF GLENDALE COMMUNITY SERVICES AND PARKS DEPARTMENT

The city provides services for older adults in Glendale. Services include appliances for older adults age 60 and older, who are low-income and live in the Glendale area. Eligibility restrictions apply; service is limited to residents of Glendale, La Crescenta, Montrose and Verdugo City.

The Cooling Fan Assistance Program provides one free fan to eligible older adults who have an urgent need for cooling assistance because they do not have existing central air conditioning, a fan or a wall air conditioning unit. Supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Fans will be delivered to households to ensure applicants continue to observe the "Safer at Home" order.
