Immigrant Visa Application Filing Assistance

The program provide assistance for legal permanent resident aliens, age 18 and older, in Los Angeles County. Services are targeted, but not restricted to the Spanish-speaking community. Services include citizenship assistance centers, immigrant visa application filing assistance and legal information lines for immigration issues. There are no geographic restrictions.

The program operates "ya es hora Ciudadania," a national hotline that provides comprehensive information about immigration and citizenship issues.

The program also operates Ciudadania Centers, one-stop locations that assist people with completions of USCIS (U S Citizenship and Immigration Services) form N-400, photos, photocopies, and direct delivery of applications to the USCIS. Applicants for naturalization can also have their fingerprints taken there. In addition, the program provides information about citizenship preparation and ESL classes. Additional supportive services vary among center locations.

The agency is a national organization, which also provides technical assistance, research and community action activities within the Latino community.
