Foster Parent/Family Recruitment

The agency provides foster care services for children age birth to 21 and families throughout Los Angeles County. Services include foster care/family recruitment, foster care placement, dependent care for foster children, and parenting skills development for foster parents. Children must be placed by DCFS. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions for service.

A social worker is assigned to each individual child and provides case management and support services as needed.

The agency recruits, trains, certifies and supervises foster families. Foster family supportive services include training, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, psychiatric and psychological assessments. The center also provides family support services for high-risk families focusing on child abuse and neglect prevention and intervention. The services include in-home parenting skills instruction, case management, individual, family and group counseling, and crisis intervention.
