Physician Referrals
Provider: CALIFORNIA POISON CONTROL SYSTEM
The center provides poison information for people of all ages in Los Angeles and throughout California. Services include emergency medical information and referrals by telephone about actual or potential poisonings and printed materials. Staff assess the caller's immediate situation and provide instructional information or a referral for medical care; all calls are confidential. Referrals may be made to the nearest emergency room or to a doctor who is experienced in toxicology. There are no geographic restrictions.
