Recreational Activities/Sports (Lesbians)

The agency provides recreational programs for people in the Los Angeles area. Services are targeted, but not restricted to the gay and lesbian community and include hiking, camping, backpacking trips, rafting, volleyball and bicycling. The organization also recruits and trains volunteers to be trail leaders. There are no geographic restrictions.
Membership meetings are held every other month at the sites announced in the newsletter. Local chapters prepare members for state, regional, and local outings at regularly scheduled warm up meetings. Members receive a subscription to Great Outdoors Los Angeles newsletter, the local chapter newsletter. People may attend activities without being members.
