Breast Pumps
Provider: EMANATE HEALTH - QUEEN OF THE VALLEY HOSPITAL
The agency provides hospital services for people of all ages who live in Los Angels County. Services include alternative medicine, breastfeeding support programs, breast pumps, disease specific treatment, emergency room care, first aid instruction, hospice care, in person crisis intervention targeted to adult sexual assault survivors, medicaid contract hospitals, neonatal intensive care, neurology, occupational therapy, pediatrics, physical therapy, physician referrals, prenatal care, speech and language pathology, walking programs, and wellness programs. There are no geographic restrictions.
Additional services include outpatient surgery, pediatrics, radiology, GI lab, nuclear medicine, vascular diagnostic lab, cardiology, pulmonary department, pathology, orthopaedics, neurology, CAT scan, MRI, ultrasound, and a pharmacy.
The hospital is also a certified provider of Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP), an elective Medi-Cal funded program which provides comprehensive pre-natal care to Medi-Cal recipients, including evaluation, direct medical services; nutrition and health education; psychological counseling and social services if needed.
The Family Birth & Newborn Center on site, provides childbirth education and breastfeeding instruction and support. The Breastfeeding Resource center also provides breast pump rental services.
The Rehabilitation Department includes physical, occupational and speech therapy, biofeedback on inpatient and outpatient basis, and a long term rehabilitation unit for trauma and stroke patients.
Oncology and cancer services include inpatient, rehabilitation, social services, a grief outreach support group, and a hospice program.
Maternity services include a lactation clinic, a neonatal intensive care unit, a neonatal apnea program, sibling visitation and classes in Lamaze, cesarean, parenthood and sibling preparation.
The crisis and sexual assault intervention unit provides 24-hour emergency services through the hospital emergency room. Crisis intervention is provided through contract with mental health professionals who treat a variety of psychiatric problems. The program provides evidence collection, volunteer patient advocates for rape survivors, and referrals to needed community services.
Health education includes a full range of health, childbirth education, and wellness programs for the public. The hospital also sponsors a walking program for older adults called the Westfield Pacers. Seniors, age 60 and older, may sign up at the Westfield Shoppingtown West mall on Monday mornings at 9am.
The Social Service Department provides information and counseling for patients and their families including parenting classes and the Pastoral Care Department includes counseling and daily mass.
