The agency provides health services for low-income people of all ages who live in Los Angeles County, including people who are homeless. Services include AIDS/HIV clinics; child health and disability prevention exams; childhood immunizations; community clinics for low-income, homeless people, homeless young adults and homeless youth; contraception; contract clinics; flu vaccines; general medical care; HIV testing; obstetrics/gynecology; optometry; pediatrics; planning/coordinating/advisory groups; pregnancy testing; prenatal care; and sexually transmitted disease screening. There are no geographic restrictions; income restrictions apply.
Contract clinic services include outpatient health services for unuured, low-income Los Angeles County residents ages 19 to 64, including General Relief recipients. Applicant's household income must be at or below 134% of federal poverty guidelines.
The clinic receives additional support from the Ryan White Foundation. People who have AIDS/HIV and who qualify for My Health LA may receive primary care at the Rose Ave. location.
Child health and disability prevention exams (CHDP) provides regular, preventive health assessments and developmental assessments for children from birth to age 21 who are Medi-Cal eligible and for children from birth through age 18 whose family income is less than 200% of the federal poverty level.
Medical care includes diagnosis and treatment of primary medical problems, including HIV and AIDS, physical exams for children age 16 and younger, immunizations, pregnancy testing, family planning, dispensing of prescription medications and referral for laboratory and X-ray services at local hospitals.
Bill's Clinic at SPY provides services for homeless youth and homeless young adults. The clinic is open one day out of the week and offers basic medical care such as care for basic wounds and infections.
