Recreational Activities/Sports Volunteer Opportunities

    The agency provides volunteer opportunities for students in grades 6th through 12th, and people 18 yrs and older, who live in Los Angeles County. Volunteer opportunities are available in a variety of areas such as group exercise, youth, seniors, aquatics, health, fitness, day camps and youth mentoring. There are no geographic restrictions.

Application Procedure
Call, walk in or visit the website for information. Individuals check the areas of interest on the application form. Volunteers must be cleared through a criminal background check and complete Child Abuse Awareness and Safety Training. First-Aid and CPR certifications are required for some positions.

The YMCA does not provide volunteer hours for court-ordered individuals.
