Flu Vaccines

The center provides a variety of services for older adults who live in the El Segundo area. The services include information and referral, activities, classes, workshops, special events, a senior citizens' club, trips, tax assistance and health-related programs. A monthly newsletter is available which includes information about current activities and programs.

People may call or come to the center for information or referrals to numerous resources in the community which may assist them. Staff can also provide information about local volunteer opportunities. In addition, seasonal tax assistance, flu shots and an annual health fair. Some health screenings are also available.

Recreational activities include a room which is equipped with TV, billiards, and a library. The classes and activities provided include bridge, bingo, crafts, stained glass instruction, ceramics and painting. People may also participate in aerobics, easy exercise, lawn bowling, dancing, softball, Tai Chi, tennis, swimnastics, bowling, and a walking group within the City of El Segundo Recreation and Parks Department programs. In addition the center sponsors El Segundo Senior Citizen's Club for people age 50 and older. The center also offers a variety of educational workshops which focus on health, medical, and social issues, and sponsors day trips to museums and other places of interest. The center holds an annual "Elderfest" which honors the Senior Citizens of the year.
