Provider: FIRST PLACE FOR YOUTH
The agency provides shelter for former foster youth in Los Angeles County. Services include transitional shelter. Services are available for former foster youth who were in foster care on their 18th birthday and are under 21 years old; and for youth who were in foster care on their 18th birthday and are under 24 years old and are currently homeless. The maximum length of stay is 36 months. There are no geographic restrictions.
Participants meet regularly with youth advocates who help them set goals towards self-sufficiency. Secondary services include case/care management and life skills training.
