The program provides consumer assistance nationwide with a toll-free consumer hotline for people to ask questions, present views, and to register complaints about FDIC regulated banks. The agency publishes educational pamphlets which contain information about issues such as deposit insurance truth in lending, fair credit billing, the fair credit reporting act, and equal credit opportunity for women. No walk in services are provided at the sites.
