The organization provides fine arts programs for the Greater Long Beach area. Services include arts/humanities Councils, fellowships, funding for arts and related programs, public art programs, public awareness/education programs related to the arts, and special events for the Long Beach area. There are geographic restrictions for some programs.
The organization promotes art education, oversees public art projects, provides arts funding and provides artist services for the city.
Funding opportunities include six grants: Risk and Innovation grant, Arts Education Enrichment, Community Project grants, Operating grants I & II, Professional Artist Fellowship and micro-grants.
Educational programs focus on dance, music, theater and visual arts and include: Arts Education grant, Creative Long Beach Internship Program, Eye on Design and Passport to the Arts.
