The organization provides grants to non-profit youth sports organizations that meet the eligibility criteria for a grant. Grants are offered three times per year. Only non-profit youth sports organizations can apply; they must meet certain criteria as a sports group and also for the type of project they wish to fund. Grants are not made to individuals. Proof of non-profit status is required for application.
The agency also provides coaching clinics, and produces coaching manuals and cd's to promote excellence in youth coaching skills among adult sponsors and coaches. Exemplary coaching is one of the requirements for a successful project grant, so the agency makes every effort to promote correct and effective coaching.
