Independent Living Skills Instruction (Adolescents, Foster Children)
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH - ROYBAL FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE
This is a family-oriented, bilingual outpatient mental health center for children and adolescents age 2 to 17 and their families. Services to the adults in these families are limited to TANF/GAIN participants. It serves people who live in City of Commerce, East Los Angeles and Montebello who are experiencing a crisis or a severe mental health problem. Services include family counseling; independent living skills for adolescents from foster care to emancipated youth; in-person crisis intervention for youth; psychiatric disorder counseling; school based integrated services, and mental health evaluation services for youth.
The program provides diagnosis; individual, family and group psychotherapy. The transitional program for adolescents, age 16 and older, provides daily living skills training.
School based services are provided for the Montebello Unified School District.

Fees are on a sliding scale; Medi-Cal is accepted.
