Independent Living Skills Instruction
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH - ROYBAL FAMILY MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE
This is a family-oriented, bilingual outpatient mental health center for children and adolescents age 4 to 17 and their families. Services to the adults in these families are limited to TANF/GAIN participants. It serves people who live in City of Commerce, East Los Angeles and Montebello who are experiencing a crisis or a severe mental health problem. Services include family counseling; independent living skills for adolescents from foster care to emancipated youth; in-person crisis intervention for youth; psychiatric disorder counseling; school based integrated services, and mental health evaluation services for youth.
The program provides diagnosis; individual, family and group psychotherapy. The transitional program for adolescents, age 16 and older, provides daily living skills training.
School based services are provided for the Montebello Unified School District.
