Drug Related Harm Reduction Programs (Young Adults)

The agency provides substance use disorder services for youth age 12 to 17 and young adults ages 18 to 20 in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valley areas. Services include substance use disorder education/prevention, medication based treatment for substance use disorders, substance use disorder treatment programs, and alcohol and drug related harm reduction programs. Age and geographic restrictions apply.
The program provides assessment, early intervention and treatment planning. Participants receive individual, group and family counseling; life skills training; and support groups and maintenance for recovery and relapse prevention. Services are available for pregnant and parenting participants.
Staff collaborate with psychiatrists to provide medication based treatment and harm reduction services; an on-site medical director is also available. Families may receive Narcan/naloxone training.
In conjunction with the Los Angeles County Superior Court Juvenile Drug Court, the program includes random urinalysis substance use disorder education.
