The division provides crime prevention services in regard to Medi-Cal and IHSS fraud for the state of California. It accepts and investigates complaints of alleged Medi-Cal fraud by beneficiaries and Medi-Cal service providers, including IHSS providers and beneficiaries.
It makes recommendations for criminal or administrative prosecution of persons involved in fraudulent Medi-Cal activities.
