Prejob Guidance (Adolescents)
Provider: CALIFORNIA STATE EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT - YOUTH OPPORTUNITY CENTER - LONG BEACH OFFICE
The agency provides youth services related to employment for adolescents ages 14 to 24, in the Long Beach/Harbor area. Services include job search/placement, prejob guidance and work experience. Age and geographic restrictions apply.
The program partners with Centro CHA, United Cambodian Community (UCC), KRA Corporation and the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD) to help prepare youth for the workplace. Youth are able to earn an average of 100 hours of paid work experience to help build their resume.
Access to computers with internet connection, telephones, fax machines and copiers is available.
