Audiological Evaluations

The agency provides services for people with disabilities in Los Angeles County. Services include audiological evaluations for all ages, audiology, hearing aids, hearing screening, and speech and language pathology for youth age 17 and younger. There are no geographic restrictions.
Audiology services for youth include individual testing, therapy and hearing aid dispensing. Family involvement is encouraged. Staff assist the child to develop listening skills, auditory perception and articulation, language skills, and speech reading. Ongoing evaluation of hearing aids is also provided. Parents are educated on providing a home environment which reinforces the development of verbal skills and providing understanding and support.
The program provides on-site hearing screening at preschools and senior centers.
