Residential Camps

The agency provides recreational, fitness, and family supportive activities for people of all ages who live in the north San Fernando Valley. Services include day camps, parent/infant exercise classes, parent/child activity groups for fathers, physical fitness for older adults and for youth, recreational activities, recreational/leisure instruction, residential camps, and therapeutic aquatics for older adults. Membership is required for participation in activities. There are no geographic restrictions.
The agency offers fitness classes for people of all ages including programs for seniors and younger adults. The center provides therapeutic aquatics for older adults. The agency also offers youth movement education for mothers and their infants age three months to two and one half years; it provides youth activities and fitness programs for young people, ages 3 to 18.
Tiny Tots is a class that stimulates infants with finger plays, songs, gentle exercises, massage, tactile, visual, and auditory experiences. Tumble Tots is for children who are crawling or newly walking. Parental concerns and child safety is also discussed. Children must be 3 years old and potty trained to be in these classes.
A variety of summer day, resident, holiday, and caravan camping programs are available for people of all ages as well as regularly scheduled family field trips. The Papoose program is for children (ages 3 to 5) and their parents while The Guides and Princesses (K-3rd grade) and Trailblazers (grades 4th to 7th) are for fathers and their children (boys and girls). A week-long residential camp is available in the summer.
Summer and winter basketball leagues for children and youth grades Kindergarten through 12th grade are also available.
The agency offers a Physical Education program which serves many elementary schools throughout the San Fernando Valley. The components of the program include warm-up, cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance, skill development, cool-down and flexibility.
