Specialized Information and Referral

Provider: I DID SOMETHING GOOD TODAY FOUNDATION

The agency provides services for low-income and homeless older adults age 55 and older, who are socially isolated and in Los Angeles county. Services include companionship and specialized information and referral. Age restrictions apply; companionship programs are restricted to residents of zip codes 90017 and 90037. There are no geographic restrictions for other services.

The Adopt a Grandparent Program matches socially isolated older adults with individuals who commit to participating in activities together, such as group outings to movies, plays or concerts, picnics or dining out, physical fitness and other recreational activities. Volunteers also provide in-person visits and phone or video calls.

Staff provide information and referral or linkage to housing and health navigation and other support services for older adults.
