Administrative Entities

The Chancellor's Office serves as the administrative branch of the California Community Colleges system, the Chancellor's Office is also responsible for allocating state funding to the colleges and districts. Located in Sacramento, the Chancellor's Office includes the offices of the chancellor and vice chancellors who oversee the work of three main offices that are charged with driving transformational change and three units that provide administrative, communications and legal support.

The offices include: Equitable Student Learning, Experience and Impact Office is comprised of Educational Services and Support and Workforce and Economic Development; Innovation, Data, Evidence and Analytics Office is comprised of Digital Innovation and Infrastructure and Research and Data; Institutional Supports and Success Office is comprised of College Finance and Facilities Planning, Institutional Effectiveness and Government Relations; Office of Human Resources and Business Services; Office of General Counsel; and Office of Communications and Marketing. Both the Chancellor's Office and the Board of Governors were created by legislation passed in 1967.
