The organization provides general health information and referral services related to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for patients, their families and interested professionals. Services include disease/disability information, specialized information and referral and voluntary health organizations. No medical services are provided. The association accepts donations and raises funds to support research related to a cure for and the prevention of ALS. It also accepts grant applications which are considered by the scientific review committee and clinical management review committee for funding. There are no geographic restrictions.
