Website Development Volunteer Opportunities

The program provides volunteer opportunities to individuals living in Los Angeles county. Services include Clerical, Fund raising event volunteer opportunities, public speaking volunteer opportunities and web site development volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions.

Clerical volunteer opportunities include Data entry/word processing and filing work in the agency's executive, program, communications and development departments. Potential volunteers should have basic to advanced administration skills including knowledge in database management, word processing with mail merge, phones, fax, filing and mail merge software.

Fund raising volunteers help Fund raising staff prepare for special events. Potential volunteers should have an outgoing personality and be willing to make "cold calls" to ask for donated items.

Public speaking volunteers make presentations on behalf of the agency. Volunteers can assist with the agency's "024U" environmental education program and "Lung Power" program in which they will teach children with asthma, their parents and teachers how to manage asthma. Potential volunteers who have good public speaking skills, and an outgoing personality.

Web site development volunteers will help update and maintain the agency website. Potential volunteers should have advanced web master skills. Editorial team volunteers write the website content.
