The program provides mental health services for people who suffer from depression in the Los Angeles area. Services include clinical trials and research on treatments for depression. The program is limited to the Los Angeles area.
Clinical trials include free treatment for depression, including medication and psychotherapy. People who are selected to participate also receive free parking at UCLA Semel Institute and free meals during patient visits to the lab. Some studies include monetary compensation and continued medication after completion of the study.
Treatment may include use of the new FDA-approved device, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Therapy (TMS).
