Subsidized Housing Fraud Reporting

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

The agency provides housing services for low income people, including those with disabilities, who live in the County of Los Angeles. Services include subsidized housing opportunities for low-income families, for people who have disabilities and for older adults. The agency manages and maintains public housing units; assists people to live in privately owned rentals through rent subsidies under the Section 8 program and accepts reports of subsidized housing related fraud.

The agency also administers the Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing (VASH) Program which provides rental assistance to homeless veterans and their families in combination with case management and clinical services through the Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) of Greater Los Angeles. Veterans are first assessed for eligibility by the VAMC and then referred to the LACDA for rental assistance. Interested veterans are encouraged to contact the VAMC at (310) 478-3711 for information. The VASH program is for homeless veterans only.
