The agency provides health services to individuals in Los Angeles County. Service include breast examinations, breast self examination instruction, disease/disability information, disease/disability specific screening/diagnosis, mammograms, and ultrasound scanning. There are no geographic restrictions.

The breast diagnostic centers provide mammography and other diagnostic methods for the detection of breast cancer. The center also provides osteoporosis screening for women. Women under age 40 need a prescription from their primary care physician. There are no geographic restrictions.

Diagnostic services for breast cancer include mammography, ultrasound, stereotactic (nonsurgical) biopsy, and surgical biopsy by needle localization. These screening methods can detect non-palpable lumps or abnormalities in the breast. Diagnostic services also include bone density tests for osteoporosis. A prescription from the primary care physician is required.

The center also provides breast self-examination training for women age 16 and older and community education programs about women's health, and also offers a second opinion service for women who have been diagnosed as having breast cancer. Women who have symptoms are referred to their own physicians and follow up is done to ensure that they are receiving care.

The Woman to Woman program provides support to women who have undergone radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The program provides private consultations on image enhancement and techniques to improve one's appearance. They also provide a complimentary turban or scarf, wig liner, resource guide and tote bag.
