Job Search/Placement

The program provides employment services primarily for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals in Los Angeles County. Services include career counseling, a job bank, job search/placement services, and prejob guidance for LGBT adults, age 18 and older, adolescents, age 14 to 18 and older adults, age 60 and older. Public internet access and computer and technology related classes are also available. Age restrictions apply for some services; there are no geographic restrictions.

Referrals are made for full-time, part-time or temporary employment in a variety of fields. The program encourages employers to send job opportunities to the office to be posted on the bulletin board of current job listings. Employers are also welcome to call.

The center also provides career counseling, and job search skills such as resume preparation and interview techniques to meet the complex needs of LGBT persons seeking stable employment.

Computers with high speed internet access are available at the David Bohnett CyberCenter. The agency also offers computer and technology related classes.
