The library maintains a collection of books, magazines, audio-visual and other items which are available to people of all ages. The materials include special collections in the Spanish language. The Library offers free public use computers and provides free wi-fi for those bringing their own Internet-enabled devices. The library offers free introductory computer classes.

There are no fees for most services. Library cards are free for all California residents. There are fines for late returns and replacement library cards. There are fixed fees for passport services.
