Home Maintenance and Minor Repair Services

The Home Preservation program provides home improvement services for low-income homeowners in the San Gabriel Valley. Services include home maintenance and minor repair grant/loans and home maintenance and minor repair services. Services are restricted to Alhambra, Altadena, Arcadia, Atwater Village, Azusa, Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Duarte, Eagle Rock, El Monte, El Sereno, Glendale, Highland Park, Irwindale, La Canada, La Crescenta, Monrovia, Montecito Heights, Monterey Hills, Montrose, Pasadena, Rosemead, San Gabriel, San Moreno, Sierra Madre, South El Monte, South Pasadena, Sunland, Temple City and Tujunga.

The program helps eligible low-income homeowners alleviate health and safety issues on and around their home by offering a home improvement loan. Repairs may include doors, drainage, fencing, gutters, roofs, siding, trim and fascia, windows, landscaping, paint, porches and ramps and railings. Homeowners pay for these repair services through a repayment plan. Repairs are completed using professional and/or volunteer labor. The repayment funds are used to assist other low-income homeowners in need of home repair.

The homeowner must meet eligibility criteria and complete a pre-application form.
