Work Study Programs (TANF Recipients)

Provider: ANTELOPE VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT

The district provides post-secondary education for adults in the Antelope Valley area. It offers programs leading to an associate degree, certificate programs in multiple subject areas, and higher education for students planning to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Services include adult basic education, community colleges, community college districts, continuing education, GED instruction, vocational education and work study programs. There are no geographic restrictions.

The college provides vocational education, continuing education for personal and professional development, and programs for disabled students.

It also provides employment services and adult basic education for low-income students including access to CalWORKs and GED programs. Work-study programs area available.

Support services for all students include a career center, child development center, financial aid, a learning center for tutorial services and a veteran's office. A food pantry offers free produce to all students, staff and faculty.

Tuition is $46 per unit. There are additional fees for some classes. Low income students can apply for a waiver for lower fees per semester.
