Foster Parent/Family Recruitment

The agency provides foster care services for youth ages 0 to 17, and for families in California. Services include foster family recruitment and foster care placement for youth with behavioral disorders, poor impulse control, phobias, depression, multiple placement failures, and other problems. The program accepts youth with moderate to severe learning or emotional disabilities. The agency is also licensed to provide adoption services. Age restrictions apply; there are no geographic restrictions.

Secondary services include ongoing therapeutic care to raise children's self esteem, to encourage personal responsibility, and to create family stability. Staff provide weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly follow-up visits, written reports, and 24-hour on-call services. All children receive ongoing professional counseling, medical and dental care, a monthly spending allowance, and a monthly clothing allowance.

Staff conduct thorough, in-home assessments of prospective foster families. Certification requirements include a foster parent training program and multiple background checks.
