General Paratransit/Community Ride Programs

The Dial-A-Ride program provides transportation for seniors, age 60 or older and people with disabilities who are residents of the City of Malibu. Services include general paratransit services. Services are restricted to the city of Malibu and specific satellite locations.
The service was established to help the senior populating with transportation to doctor appointments, markets or Malibu Senior Center, as well as other destinations within the city limits.
The program provides curb to curb transportation. The service is provided by Malibu Cab Company. All riders must be registered with the Malibu Senior Center.
Dial-A-Ride will take seniors to all points within the Malibu city limits, or the following destinations outside the City:
Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center and Orthopaedic Hospital,
St. John's Hospital,
Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Westwood,
Kaiser Permanente in Woodland Hills,
and various medical offices along Wilshire Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd.

Application Procedure
Register with the Malibu Senior Center located at Malibu City Hall. Applications are available at the Senior Center or at the City's web site. ID and proof of residence are required.
Fees
The cab fare is $2.00 each way within the city limits; $1.00 each way to the Senior Center; and $4.00 each way to qualified locations outside the city limits.
