The hospital provides mental health services for adults age 18 and older in Los Angeles. Services include adult psychiatric inpatient units, psychiatric day treatment, a psychiatric mobile response team, and mental health crisis intervention. There are separate hospital units for adults ages 18 through 55 and adults age 56 and older. Age restrictions apply for services; there are no geographic restrictions.

Admitting hours are Monday through Friday, 5:00am to 8:00pm.; Saturday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Behavioral Health Unit visiting hours are Monday through Friday, 4:00pm to 5:00pm and 7:00pm to 8:00pm.; Saturday and Sunday, 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
