Through Care Coordination, 211 LA has the privilege of connecting with residents on a personal level. These programs link families to resources tailored to their unique needs. 211 LA Care Coordinators go beyond linking families to tailored resources by advocating for them and providing follow-up support to ensure lasting impact.
During the holiday season, our Care Coordinators find even more ways to give back. 211 LA’s Annual Holiday Drive brings our team together to support families in need with thoughtful gift baskets.
Last year, 211 LA gifted 28 families with holiday baskets filled with an array of goodies for loved ones and essential items. This year, 211 LA helped brighten the holiday season for 70 families receiving support through our wildfire recovery care coordination!

211 LA Care Coordinators share holiday joy with families enrolled in wildfire recovery care coordination through the distribution of holiday gift baskets.
This unforgettable moment was made possible with the help of the San Gabriel Fire Department’s Station 51, the National Council of Jewish Women Los Angeles, and Health Net. Many of the gifts included were donated through Station 51’s beloved Sparks of Love campaign, helping to create lasting holiday memories for children.
This year’s event was made even more meaningful with special guest appearances from San Gabriel Mayor and 211 LA Board Member Denise Menchaca, along with members of the San Gabriel Fire Department. Mayor Menchaca presented a Certificate of Recognition to San Gabriel Fire Department Station 51 in honor of their continued partnership and service, as well as 211 LA for its commitment to the community during the holidays.

While 211 LA continues to create pathways toward stability for wildfire-impacted families, this event offered something equally important during some of the most challenging moments in a person’s life: connection, comfort, and joy. Beyond unpacking gift baskets around 211 LA’s Christmas tree, the gathering provided families with an opportunity to reconnect with their dedicated 211 LA Care Coordinators over a variety of holiday treats, and even create core memories inside a real firetruck.

We are incredibly grateful to the wildfire-impacted families for entrusting 211 LA with their recovery journeys, and to the City of San Gabriel for giving 211 LA a place to call home.
