Los Angeles, CA – June 06, 2024 – 211 LA is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious Accreditation with Honors from InformUSA, the leading credentialing organization for the Information and Referral (I&R) sector. This award underscores 211 LA’s commitment to excellence and highlights its superior performance in delivering essential services to the Los Angeles County community.

The InformUSA Accreditation Program is the only credential explicitly geared for the I&R sector, measuring a program's compliance with the highest standards and quality indicators as defined by the InformUSA Standards and Quality Indicators for Professional Information and Referral.

Achieving Accreditation with Honors signifies that 211 LA meets and exceeds these rigorous standards in several key areas:

  • Call Handling Quality: 211 LA achieved high scores on secret shopper calls, demonstrating exceptional service quality and responsiveness.

  • Resource Database Maintenance: 211 LA maintained a high percentage of updated entries, ensuring accurate and current information is always available.

  • Quality of Consultative Submission: 211 LA excelled in minimizing the number of rounds to completion for consultative submissions, showcasing efficiency and precision.

  • Quality of Resource Database Submission: 211 LA also excelled in the quality of its resource database submissions, which required minimal rounds to complete.

"Securing accreditation with honors isn't just about recognition; it reflects our team's heartfelt dedication to excellence. Every connection is personal, fueling our pursuit of making a genuine difference in their lives." - said Maribel Marin, Executive Director of 211 LA.

The honor places 211 LA among the top 10% of accredited organizations annually, highlighting its role as a leader in the I&R field. This distinction not only reflects the organization's operational excellence but also its ongoing commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.

"We are incredibly proud of this achievement," said Amy Latzer, Chief Operating Officer of 211 LA. "It validates the quality and impact of our work and inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the I&R sector."
