Building on its work with Calgary’s Community Information Exchange, CareSuite is now supporting call center operations and referral pathways for the Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton Region.

Los Angeles, California - CareSuite, a secure, interoperable software platform developed by 211 LA, is expanding its work in Alberta through its recent launch with the Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton Region (CMHA Edmonton).
CMHA Edmonton is a call center partner that works with Distress Center Calgary through the 211 Alberta partnership. The launch builds on CareSuite’s existing support of Distress Center Calgary and Calgary’s Community Information Exchange, which officially began late last year.
CareSuite is the technology platform for Calgary’s Community Information Exchange. In that role, CareSuite helped establish the system infrastructure needed to support coordinated care across community partners. The platform was configured for several care coordination programs serving Calgary residents, integrated with CareDove to send direct referrals to Kindred YYC, and supported onboarding and training for Distress Centre Calgary staff.
CareSuite is now helping strengthen 211 Alberta call center operations. The implementation launched at the beginning of April 2026 and focuses on connecting day-to-day workflows, improving follow-up, and helping staff better understand the needs of the people they serve.
As part of the launch, CareSuite integrated with CMHA Edmonton’s phone system to improve call center efficiency. The platform also enables caller profiles, giving staff a clearer view of caller needs, previous interactions, and opportunities for follow-up.
CareSuite has also integrated with the informAlberta resource database, which allows CMHA Edmonton call staff to make referrals to resources through Alberta’s province-wide database solution. This helps connect call center activity, resource navigation, and referral support into a single, coordinated process.
“CareSuite was built from 211 LA’s experience on the front lines of service navigation, where every call represents a person seeking support, clarity, and connection. Expanding our work in Alberta is an exciting example of how shared technology and shared purpose can strengthen coordination and care,” said Maribel Marin, Executive Director, 211 LA
“Our partnership with 211 LA, along with the implementation of CareSuite, represents an important step toward modernizing how Calgary coordinates care, enabling better information sharing and more responsive, real‑time support for people in need.
What makes this partnership especially meaningful is that, despite operating in different countries, we are facing many of the same challenges: increasing complexity, rising demand, and a clear need for systems that work together more effectively around individuals.
We are excited by what becomes possible when organizations aligned in purpose learn from one another and build together.” Said Matt Nomura, Chief Executive Officer, Calgary Distress Center
“CareSuite has been a valuable platform for us, strengthening how we connect people to the right supports at the right time. Our collaboration with 211 LA reflects the power of working across the 211 network—sharing tools, learning from one another, and building systems that better serve communities. We are excited about what this partnership makes possible as we continue to improve access, coordination, and outcomes for the people who access our services every day,” said Emma Potter, Senior Director, Service Systems, Canadian Mental Health Association – Edmonton Region
Together, CareSuite’s work with Distress Center Calgary and CMHA Edmonton reflects a growing investment in connected, community-centered service delivery across Alberta.
