FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
211 LA Delivers Recovery Support with Holiday Gift Baskets
San Gabriel, CA - December 11, 2025
On Saturday, December 13th, 211 LA will continue to support local families impacted by the January 2025 wildfires by providing holiday-themed gift baskets at their headquarters in San Gabriel. Working in collaboration with the San Gabriel Fire Department, Station 51, whose Sparks of Love campaign attracted donated toys and other items, as well as the National Council of Jewish Women L.A., and Health Net, 211 LA will present these baskets to 70 families still recovering from the impact of the fires, making their holiday season a little more joyful.
San Gabriel Mayor Denise Menchaca will be in attendance, presenting a Certificate of Recognition to the fire station, and exclaims, “I am extremely proud of Fire Department Station 51 and 211 LA for making sure these families know they have not been forgotten.” Other key community crisis response partners will also be on hand, including Airbnb, which provided quick access to temporary housing for many residents displaced by the wildfires.
With December being National Preparedness Month, this event is a strong reminder that support for survivors is needed well beyond the end of a crisis. 211 LA’s efforts are driven by the 3 Rs of crisis management: readiness, response, & recovery. With skilled Care Coordinators and sophisticated technology to support them, 211 LA is well-equipped to continue supporting these families, even after the smoke has cleared!
