October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and at 211 LA, this observance is a time to reaffirm our commitment to survivors and families across Los Angeles County. Every day, our team answers calls from individuals seeking safety, shelter, and support. Behind each call is a person taking a brave step toward freedom and healing.

This year’s theme, “With Survivors, Always,” reminds us that no one should have to face violence or fear alone. 211 LA provides a safe and confidential space where survivors can connect to trusted resources and compassionate guidance. Our trained specialists offer immediate assistance and connect callers to emergency shelters, legal aid, counseling, and crisis support centers throughout Los Angeles County.

For life-threatening emergencies, always dial 9-1-1. For confidential assistance, call 2-1-1 or visit 211la.org to speak with a trained specialist at any time, day or night.
