Organizational Development and Management Services (Child Abuse Issues)

Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY INTER-AGENCY COUNCIL ON CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT

The agency provides child abuse services for people of all ages in Los Angeles. Services include planning/coordinating/advisory groups, organizational development and management services, a safety education program about Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and a speakers bureau. There are no geographic restrictions.
br> This council is composed of department heads and child abuse specialists from 28 agencies whose focus is to ensure agency networking and service delivery improvement in areas related to children's protective services.

The agency offers technical assistance such as consultation, training, speakers and other support services to government and community agencies.

The Safe Sleep for Baby campaign uses countywide TV, radio and outdoor advertisements to raise public awareness on how to put a baby to sleep safely. A safe sleep tool kit and e-learning course are also available to L.A. County employees, community-based organizations and others who interact with families of infants.
