General Mental Health Information/Education

The foundation provides mental health information services related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) for people of all ages in the United States. Services include general mental health information/education, mental health related support groups, peer to peer networking, and specialized information and referral. There are no geographic restrictions.

The organization provides phone and written material about OCD and can refer people to resources in their area which offer treatment. Information is available about the symptoms of OCD, forms of psychological and pharmacological treatment that have and have not helped, institutions that are conducting research related to OCD, and coping mechanisms. The foundation also links members with other members in their area who have OCD and encourages interested people to start local self-help groups.

The organization's brochure and newsletter provide information about OCD, about the foundation and its activities, about current research and medications, and about additional information and resources.

The foundation supports research related to the causes, treatments, and ultimate cure of OCD; and, sponsors an annual conference.
