Business Assistance Services
Provider: LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY - OFFICE OF SMALL BUSINESS
The department provides business services for small businesses in Los Angeles county. Services include business assistance services and small business development. There are no geographic restrictions.
The department's Small Business Concierge connects small businesses with private sector and public sector opportunities. The program provides workshops and trainings on contract acquisition, and selling goods and services to the county, state, and federal government. Ongoing additional technical assistance and support is available.
The L A County Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) offers one-on-one technical assistance and training to help businesses in Los Angeles County that are interested in local, state, and federal government contracting. The PTAC Counselors can help with most government contracting matters including:
-Becoming a registered vendor
-Getting certified
-Finding opportunities
-Target market analysis
-Marketing to the government
The APEX Accelerator Program helps businesses compete for government contracts. The program provides workshops, counseling, networking opportunities and other support.
