Occasional Emergency Food Assistance
Provider: MEET EACH NEED WITH DIGNITY - MEND
The program provides emergency food for people who live in Arleta, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, North Hills, Pacoima, Panorama City, San Fernando, Sepulveda and Sylmar, including people who are homeless or undocumented. Participants must meet federal poverty income limits. Emergency food consists of a three day supply of dry, fresh and canned foods. The amount of food provided varies with family size. Service is restricted to Arleta, Lake View Terrace, Mission Hills, Pacoima, San Fernando and Sylmar residents.

Application Procedure
Call or walk in for an appointment; numbers are distributed for assistance. Same-day assistance may be available in cases of emergency. Volunteers may make home visits to assess family circumstances. Picture ID for head of household; ID, such as birth certificates, for all family members; proof of address; and proof of income are required.
