Sewer System Maintenance

The Department provides sanitation services for the operation and maintenance of the water distribution and sewage treatment for people who live in the city of Long Beach. Services include sewage treatment and sewer maintenance. Geographic restrictions apply.
The Department has water projects and water conservation programs to assist residents and businesses in the city of Long Beach. The water projects include the Long Beach Seawater Desalination Project, the Long Beach Conjunctive Use Project and the Long Beach Recycled Water System Expansion Project. The water conservation programs provide incentives and education on water conservation and offers community education programs through the Ambassadors program.
