Fundraising Volunteer Opportunities

Provider: FREE ARTS FOR ABUSED CHILDREN

The program provides volunteer opportunities for adults age 18 and older in Los Angeles. Services include arts and culture volunteer opportunities, crafts volunteer opportunities and fundraising volunteer opportunities. There are no geographic restrictions. Volunteers work with abused, homeless and at risk children at residential care facilities, the Children's courthouse in Monterey Park, and out-patient facilities that serve children, adolescents and at-risk families. The agency recruits, screens, trains and places adult volunteers in public and private, non-profit facilities in Los Angeles County. Volunteers conduct programs in a wide variety of arts-related areas including music, painting, drama, writing, dance, sculpture and film for youth. Day and weekly programs are available. Volunteers in the Children's Court Program will lead simple art projects for children while they wait for their court hearings at the Edelman Children's Courthouse in Monterey Park.
