Library Assistant Volunteer Opportunities

The Torrance library system consists of a main library and five branches. It offers standard, free library services including book, magazine, compact disc, DVD, video, reader's advisory, and reference and research assistance. It also offers literary and cultural programming for adults, storytime programs and a summer reading program for children and young adults; computers with free Internet access; and e-books and audio books. Free study rooms for small groups are available. There are no geographic restrictions.
The Library also provides materials and services for people with sensory and physical mobility disabilities through its ASSIST Program; its home delivery Words on Wheels program; and its fully adjustable computer workstations.
