Rent Payment Assistance

Provider: NATIONAL COUNCIL OF JEWISH WOMEN - LOS ANGELES

The agency provides financial assistance for individuals age 55 and under who live in West Hollywood. Services include rent payment assistance. Age restrictions apply; services are restricted to residents of West Hollywood zip codes 90038, 90046, 90048 and 90069.  

To qualify, individuals must:  

  • live in a rental unit in the City of West Hollywood; verify address here
  • have a monthly rent not greater than $2,100
  • pay at least 30% of monthly income toward rent
  • never have received rental assistance through the West Hollywood Rental Assistance Program before 
  • demonstrate financial hardship or loss from the pandemic
  • have received a Pay or Quit notice from property management 
  • be able to cover any balance of rent owed not covered by the program 
  • have a viable plan to pay rent after assistance has stopped  

There are two rental assistance programs available:  

Standard rent payment assistance assists individuals recovering from significant financial impact from the Covid-19 pandemic. Additional program requirements apply; visit the agency's website for full eligibility and program details.  

Emergency Covid-19 rent payment assistance assists individuals facing current and direct financial impact from Covid-19, from layoffs, reduced hours or salary, illness, or care for a household member with Covid-19, or other pandemic-related costs.
