Hate Crimes Prevention

The agency provides community action groups services for individuals in Burbank. Service include constitutional/civil rights groups, hate crimes prevention, and human relations groups. Services are geographically restricted to Burbank.

The council identifies human relations conflicts that exist in the city, establishes policies and approves programs to help resolve the conflicts, monitors and reports on hate crimes, coordinates with commission staff to implement the plans.

The council works to reduce discrimination and prejudice which is based on race, ethnicity, sex, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, marital status, age, disability or medical condition.
