The district administers comprehensive education services for children who are in pre-kindergarten through grade 8 who live in the City of Lawndale and portions of Gardena and Hawthorne. The district provides education services through nine schools and also offers special education programs for children age 3 and older who have disabilities, a school readiness program for pre-kindergarteners, as well as programs for gifted children. In addition, the district provides the customary health and mental health support services.
