Housing Search Assistance

The agency provides housing services for homeless veterans, or veterans who are at imminent risk of losing their housing, and their household members in Los Angeles County. Services include housing search assistance, personal financial counseling, job search/placement, rental deposit assistance, rent payment assistance, and undesignated temporary financial assistance. There are no geographic restrictions.

Housing search assistance services include assistance in locating affordable, permanent housing, housing advocacy, and housing counseling.

Job search/placement services include referrals to vocational training and employment opportunities. 

Personal financial counseling services include money management counseling. 

Rental deposit assistance services are also available to homeless veterans and can include some move in costs, as well as first and last months rent.

Rent payment assistance services are available to veterans who are at imminent risk of eviction. This is a short term service and can include up to two months rent.

Temporary financial assistance services provide emergency funds and can be used for back owed utilities or deposits, or emergency supplies. The agency will give the financial assistance directly to a third party, not the veteran.
