When flood warnings have been issued, the City provides sand bags to residents and businesses within the city to protect property from flood damage; the bags are then filled.

Application Procedure
Call 9-1-1 to report a fire or other emergency. Go to the City Maintenance Facility at 150 Illinois St. for sand bags when flood warnings have been issued. Call the administrative office to request fire safety education materials.
Fees
Residents of the City of El Segundo transported to a hospital by the Fire Department ambulance are billed through Medicare, Medi-Cal or private insurance.
